Martha Lane-Fox

Martha was born in 1973 and went on to become an icon of e-commerce. She co-founded lastminute.com in 1998, an online travel and gift shopping website which was floated as a public company at the height of the UK dot-com bubble and which survived the inevitable burst, making her one of the first e-commerce millionaires.

An inspirational pioneer of the commercial potential of the Internet, she was badly injured in a car crash in 2004, and having fought her way back as courageously from injury as she had to found her e-business, the world waits to see what she will do next. Whatever it is she is sure to bring to it her unique vision and e-awareness which have made her one of the outstanding young businesswomen of her generation.
