Previous Years
The programmes for earlier years are shown here, so that you can see what kind of subjects we cover, and as a resource for
other branches to get information and contacts for building their own programmes.
2004 - 2005
Out of many interesting activities and events, the highlights were probably:
- Neil Barrett's talk in September on Computer Forensics
- The Open Source debate, held jointly with the Oxford University Computer Society, and
- The visit to the Socience Museum's Large Objects Storage Facility at Wroughton, and not forgetting the
- 2005 Oxfordshire Schools Web competition
For more details about these and the other events, see the links below.

2003 - 2004
The year's programme covered a wide range of subjects:
- Historical - with Chris Burton's talk on rebuilding "Baby", a visit to Bletchley Park, and the British Library's part in the project
to create a historical archive of the web
- Reports on succesful implementation of high-performance and highly available solutions at BACS and Wimbledon
- New Technology in theory and practice with talks on Naked Objects, Quantum Computing and the Christmas lecture on experiments in artificial
intelligence.
Attendance at the "Meet the committee" evenings was down over last year. We having a rethink before running them again. And
we have noticed a correlation between attendances at meetings and term-time. For future years we will try to tweak the meeting
dates to avoid the university vac where possible.
