Graham is a well publicised spokesperson for the security industry, his page on Wikipedia lists numerous TV and radio appearances. His accolades include IT Security Blog 2009 and Twitter user of the year. Also famous for writing two iconic text adventure games Graham has lots of relevant experience to bring to bear on this month’s subject.

Web 2 Woe: Cybercrime on Social Networks

Social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter and MySpace are increasingly the target for financially-motivated hackers, as more cybercriminals put the hundreds of millions of captive users in their sights. Their intention? To infect computers, spread spam, seize profiles and commit identity theft. This talk covers how attacks have continued to evolve, how social networking sites are trying to defend against exploitation, and what companies and individuals can do to better defend themselves.

The event is free and both members and non-members are very welcome. Reservations are not required.

Wine, sandwiches and light refreshments served from 7:00pm and the meeting starts at 7:30pm.
